The fifth of our 8-part Wisdom Meditation series, intended for new and seasoned meditators alike. We will join together through Zoom to meditate in a welcoming and uplifting group setting. Each event in the series features a different meditation technique.
What Will I Learn?
This evening will be led by Anna Crane, an experienced and inspiring meditation guide who is trained in the Shambhala Buddhist tradition. She will introduce us to the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) techniques developed by renowned Dr. Jon Cabat-Zinn which are used world-wide to assist with stress, anxiety, depression and pain. This is a practical approach to cultivating awareness and releasing restrictions, so we can have more choice to take wise action in our lives. There will be a brief overview of MBSR, some light physical movement and plenty of time for meditation and discussion.
Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Tea and light refreshments will be served. Meditation cushions and blankets will be provided, but feel free to bring your own!
