Join Akal, who has taught Kundalini Yoga for many years, including at Yoga Source in Coral Springs, Florida where she trained with the most experienced Kundalini Yoga teachers in the area, as we spend an afternoon exploring the possibilities of this life-enhancing practice. Kundalini Yoga provides a tool to deal with the distractions, stresses and pressures of our daily lives. There are no prerequisites for you to gain the benefits of Kundalini Yoga. See for yourself why Kundalini classes are gaining momentum from New York to L.A.!
What Will I Learn?
Part of the Sattva Wisdom Center’s meditation offerings, we will take a deep dive into this increasingly popular meditation technique. Akal will teach us about the history of Kundalini yoga and how it works on the energy systems of the body for emotional balancing, stress relief and personal transformation. She will show us how to combine breath, movement and meditation to raise our consciousness. Ultimately, we will come to understand how this practice can help us become more aware of deep seated negative emotions and conflicts and provide us the chance to release them. There will be time before the workshop ends for discussion and to enjoy some light refreshments.
Please bring a:
• yoga mat
• small pillow for under your head
• blanket to cover yourself
• small cloth to cover eyes
• bolster/prop to support yourself in a comfortable lying down position.
