Shambhala Buddhist Meditation
September 3 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm$25
with Anna Crane
We welcome you to become part of this Tuesday evening meditation circle! Our practice will explore mindfulness, mantra and breath. This group is suitable for both beginning and experienced practitioners.
Anna, a trained meditation guide with over 40 years of experience in several meditation techniques, will lead us into awakening our hearts through loving-kindness (“Metta”) meditation.
In meditation, we can experience a glimpse into ourselves. Ultimately, meditation is a deep relaxation of the mind.
Space is limited to 12 meditators. Please arrive 15 minutes early each day for sign-in and getting settled. Bring your own meditation cushion if you prefer or we will provide one for you.
What Will I Learn?
Tonight we will begin to explore Buddhist archetypes and how they are represented in each of us.
We will work with Shambhala Buddhist meditation, which introduces us to shamatha (“peaceful abiding”) and provides an experiential, comprehensive journey into the heart of meditation. The view is that our human experience, just as it is, is good. We will use meditation techniques to bring us into the present moment and gently open ourselves to compassion. We will strive to touch our own basic goodness.
