Acupressure and Yoga Nidra —An Unbeatable Combination For Deep Relaxation and Healing!
June 7 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm$35
Join Heather Berg, an inspiring and experienced meditation teacher, and Kim Marrone, an Acupuncture Physician and Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner (CFMP), as they lead us through a beautiful acupressure and Yoga Nidra practice for a special afternoon of relaxation and healing. Acupressure stimulates the inherent wisdom of out immune system to strengthen and balance our immune response. No needles necessary! All you need is you! It also activates points that reduce the negative side effects of stress in the body. Yoga Nidra provides the mental, physical and emotional benefits of deep sleep. The experience is powerfully expanded when acupressure is added.
What Will I Learn?
Acupressure helps release obstructions and energetic stagnation that can hold you back from realizing your true power and healing capacity. Yoga Nidra is different than meditation and more in line with Shavasana, the last pose in a yoga practice: complete relaxation, healing for the nervous system and a process of letting go to remember the unchanging part of you. The body and mind are at rest, yet you remain aware of your surroundings. Yoga Nidra and acupressure work together to enhance your ability to move into a more relaxed state of being. This afternoon is a unique opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of and connection to your parasympathetic nervous system while restoring balance and flow of prana or the life force.
Our exploration will start with simple acupressure techniques, followed by gentle movement and breath-work, and culminate with a guided Yoga Nidra practice. No (physical) Yoga or meditation experience required.
